I am Sushila and I hail from UP. When I was in 6th grade I moved to Chandigarh with my aunty for better education. I was in 10th grade when I heard about the Akshar School an inclusive educational environment that provided quality education to every child. This made up my mind and soon I joined Akshar.
I loved the way the teachers taught us. They had been very supportive. When I was in 12th grade, we were provided career counseling which helped me to choose a career path in Fashion Designing. Soon I got admission to Fashion Designing at Panjab University. I never even thought of going to a college in my life but after joining the Akshar School, I had a new hope to dream bigger. I have worked very hard to achieve what I have.
Today, I am independent working part-time and also pursuing Master’s in Fashion Designing, living all alone, and managing my own bills, though it is not always easy but the feeling of empowerment keeps me going. Now, I have experienced that education does matter and can change people’s lives.
